Please CNN Prove Me Wrong

grade_f I know we all wait with bated breath to hear the results of the CNN first 100 days report card , but before we hear the “results” I want to draw the keen viewers’ eye to something I caught as I was perusing the poll. As you take the quiz you are directed to each question, where you see a graphic of the US and a color coding representing the grade on each issue. For example, Obama’s Healthcare reform: http://reportcard.cnn.com/ Now if you click on the overview tab, you would expect to see the progress of the poll, perhaps in some quantitative chart, right? Lo and behold you see a pie graph: http://reportcard.cnn.com/. I was taken aback when I first glanced at the figures, 42% approve, while only 42% believe healthcare would degrade with government interference. Are you kidding me? Then I saw below the chart, in opaque lettering the following tag- “The Following CNN/Opinion Poll was conducted June 26-28, with 1,026 adult Americans questioned by the telephone.” So I posit this question- Why are you showing me a pie graph from a different poll and labeling it as an overview of this one? Duplicity doesn’t even suffice in describing this Orwellian manipulation of public opinion. Course how did the Soviets and the Nazis maintain power over the people? They manipulated public opinion, through the use of propaganda and coercion. Prove me wrong CNN, prove yourselves a trustworthy network, a representation of free press in this country, put forth the truth and do not skew the results tonight on your broadcast. Again we wait with bated breath.
