Remove God from Schools-Insert Jehovah's Witness

A New York Principal at a public school has demanded that graduating kindergartners remove the song "God Bless the USA" from their graduating ceremonies.

The Jehovah's Witness, Greta Hawkins, who refuses to stand for the Pledge of Allegiance, has declared war on anything to do with God or America in her school. The children, who had worked for months on their program, now have to change their grand finale which would have had them singing the rousing song that became a patriotic hit after the terrorist attacks on September 11th.

"We don't want to offend other cultures," was her excuse as she marched into a classroom like Little Hitler and demanded the CD playing the song be turned off.

Liberals are defending her claiming separation of Church and State in the Constitution. I challenge anyone to point out in the Constitution where it declares there is a specific statement, or even an implied statement, that God is to be excluded from public schools. Not only will you never find such a declaration, there were no government run schools at the time the Constitution was written. Government funded schools in the United States didn't rear its head until the middle of the 19th century, and didn't become a common practice until the 1920's, when it began to spread to every state.

This sorry excuse for an educator is in fact forcing her religion on these students, and the parents, many of them proud immigrants are furious. “A lot of people fought to move to America to live freely, so that song should be sung with a whole lot of pride,” said mom Luz Lozada, whose son, Daniel, is in kindergarten. This isn't the first controversial stance this Principal has taken over the years. She was in fact reprimanded in 2010 for saying, "I'm black. Your previous principal was white and Jewish. More of us are coming."

This is affirmative action at work right before your eyes. The teachers despise her, and not for the color of her skin.

"Hawkins also has been criticized by staff and parents for closing the school’s library and selling off its books (at 25 cents per book); shutting the school’s state-of the art computer lab, which was funded by local Councilman Domenic Recchia; and ending instrumental music instruction at a school ironically named the School of Performing Arts," according to the United Federation of Teachers.

In addition she has a personal vendetta against several teachers who had stellar records before Greta Hawkins came along. All are white teachers, and she continuously writes them up for petty things and has had several teachers fired despite their perfect records before Hawkins' appearance.

They call her a "bully" and a "tyrant". I pity these teachers.

On the flip side, Justin Bieber's song "Baby" has been approved for 5 and 6 year olds to sing.

"Are we an item? Girl, quit playing

This woman needs to be removed immediately, never to be placed in a position of power over anyone ever again. Her priorities are not only misplaced, but grossly inappropriate. To allow children that young to sing the above lyrics, but nothing about America is disgusting. I would like to see this woman's next job include the line, "Would you like fries with that?"
