No Education? No Job? No Worries! Big Brother to the Rescue!

Last week, Kansas City announced it would be closing 26 of its 61 schools across the city.

Today, Detroit announced it would shutter 44 schools this year, after having shut down 29 this past autumn.

Nineteen schools are being shut down in the Bronx.

Kansas City's black population: 32%. Detroit: 82%. The Bronx: 43%.

The rate of graduation for white American students is 78%, for black American students, it's a paltry 56%. Need we wonder why?

In the meantime, the rumblings against Obama in the African American communities has grown to a loud complaint that perhaps Obama isn't doing enough to promote black prosperity. While our illustrious leader discontinued the D.C. school voucher program (the suckling infant of Democrat Dick Durbin) he sent his daughters to the prestigious Sidwell Friends Academy. In the meantime, many African American children who were receiving a superior education through the school voucher program are now forced back into a failing school system in D.C.

Enter the good Reverend Al. Obama needs someone to convince the black citizens that he's on their side. Obama has recruited Al Sharpton, who is famous for his complaints that the government hasn't done enough for African Americans, to tell black community leaders to keep their tongues behind their teeth during the Obama presidency. Here is a man who is single handedly doing more harm to these communities than any previous modern president.

But let's see exactly what Obama has done to earn the Reverend Al's support.

Inner cities are hotbeds of crime, high dropout rates, and lack of employment opportunities. Of course Obama has attempted to rectify these egregious disparities, right?

I'm going to choose just Detroit to examine. Officially, Detroit's unemployment hovers around 30%. Unfortunately, both the Mayor and City officials claim it to be closer to 50%. An acceptable number to that wavy haired sycophant Sharpton? Apparently.

We already discussed the school closures in Detroit, now let's examine exactly how students are faring within that public school system. According to Education Week, a weekly education newspaper, the dropout rate in Detroit is a staggering seventy five percent.

Without an education, no decent jobs will be forthcoming, however it appears those in Detroit shouldn't be concerned. Because, despite an overwhelming number of Americans polled say jobs is the number one priority, the Obama administration is still shoving health care reform down our throats, also in opposition of the will of the People. Jobs aren't their concern.

The Democratic lawmakers managed to sign into law a pathetic $15 billion dollar jobs bill, while they're planning on spending about $900 billion to cover a small amount of our population under their sweeping health care bill. Priorities, people! It should be interesting how people who don't have a job or health insurance will be able to afford said health insurance when they're fined for not having it. Ah, a circle within a circle within a circle. Can we expect anything more from someone like Nancy Pelosi who, when asked what was in the healthcare bill, said, "But we have to pass the bill so you can find out what is in it, away from the fog of controversy." Words to live by, folks. It's like poetry.

And this is the same government we're going to allow to control our very health? I can hardly wait!
