Sacrificing For the Greater Good (Or What Conservatives Call Political Suicide) *Note /s
By: Maximus
Look, jerk conservatives. Health Care will pass. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
We, as a country, cannot continue to "allow" greedy insurance companies to send their whitey execs on lavish trips to places not named Las Vegas, on their record profits (some estimate to be as high as 3.5%!) made by denying poor people care. It is wrong!
Our Federal government has to step in, the private market has had their shot and they have failed miserably.
I don't care how many times you say Medicare, Medicaid, the Post Office, the public library, public museums, social security...or any other government agency loses money, this is more important...this is health care for everyone including those who are specially displaced from below Texico. Health Care is a human right. Sorry, FDR was right. It is.
I can hear you whining now, "I will lose my doctor I have has since de-segregation..."
Sorry, you don't get to choose which school your child attends, which teacher he/she gets, the textbook they use, the tax rate on gas, if you think social security is Constitutional or not, how much water you can flush at a time, the miles per gallon new cars have to meet or really much else. What makes you think you deserve to choose your doctor?
"...but there will be waiting lists for services." So what? You think because you have a job and your company provides you insurance, ever since the 1940's and 1950's, government froze wages so companies had to offer insurance to raise wages behind the government's back, gives you the right to be first in line? Nope. Not anymore, Redneck. Everyone is now equal. Except politicians, of course.
"That's fine. By by 2012 Comrade Obama will be done and the Democratic party will be in exile for years. This is political suicide." Wrong again. This is the very essence of sacrificing for the Greater Good. This proves that Democrats are for the people, not their own hides. Each time you religious zealots put in a Coolidge or a Reagan, we will have a Wilson, FDR, or Obama to regulate us back to equalizing wealth.
Look, you people are too stupid to make your own decisions.
How do you think the average citizen could retire without social security? They can't! If people only got out what they put in and didn't have a decent job, they would be broke. You have to subsidize it. Health care is the same way.
What about people who have been on welfare since eighteen? How do you expect them to get care for their illegitimate children? They can't without you? Are you going to tell me that you will them them, school them, clothe them, but not pay for their insurance card? I think not, jerk!
"You dumicrats don't understand. If profit is taken away from doctors and insurance companies, innovation, new cures, will be gone."
How? You simply have government research labs instead of private, and pay people half of what they were making in the private sector. Look, if the private sector is gone, then where else are they going to work? They would have to take a lesser paying government job. Simple law of supply and demand.
"But you can't expect good doctors to keep practicing medicine on half of what they made before."
Doctors are no more important than teachers. They should make the same money.
After we take care of this, we are going after car insurance companies, and life insurance companies. People without car insurance should be able to wreck in the morning and by afternoon not be denied coverage just because they had a little fender bender earlier. That is just wrong! These life insurance companies will be put in their place, also. How in the hell is a person supposed to know the day a person will die? If a loved one dies on Monday, I think by Friday they should be compensated. Not everyone is rich enough to buy life insurance at $25 per month starting at age twenty.
"I still don't think it will pass.
You know what, RACIST TEABAGGER? Nobody though social security would pass, either. But it did, and we have had it for eighty years. This too shall pass.

Five Finger Shoes
The marketed primary use for the Five Finger Shoes Trek is for off-road trail running. The tougher sole will suit many other uses where a thicker more protective sole is preferred. The fit is extremely snug. The forefoot is well protected against sharp objects while still providing decent ground-feel. It is very likely that many that use FiveFingers products for sports of any kind may find the extra protection preferable to the regular thin-soled Five Fingers Shoes. Due to the new sole design and the more water resistant leather upper, the Treks are better suited for wet weather conditions than any other FiveFingers model. Although many of the FiveFingers products are used as “water shoes” the Treks design may not be as well-suited for in-water use.
