Sharpton outraged by Doritoʼs, starts national boycott

While the Saints are celebrating, snack food giant Frito-lay is licking their wounds after
their Doritoʼs ad during the super bowl, featuring a young African-American fatherless
youth meets with a potential step-boyfriend outraged the African-American community.
Outspoken leader of the downtrodden, Rev. Al Sharpton is staging a national boycott of
Frito-lay until the ad is corrected and the company issues an apology along with a
yearʼs supply of free Doritoʼs for “any Africa-American that was offended by the ad”.
Sharpton, in an interview today said, “Watch the ad and see for yourself? It is blatant
racism! Sure the youth was dressed like Carlton Banks but his overtly forced Negro
dialect along with the image of him sitting around eating junk food and playing video
games just reinforces the negative images we in the African-American community still
fight today. I guess I could thank Frito-lay for not showing the youth playing DJ Hero
with his ʻpants on the groundʼ but when you mix in the husband-less mother and the
jive-talking step-boyfriend, it doesnʼt make for good humor, it hurts all mothers struggling
to provide a decent home. Look, if you donʼt think this is racism, imagine a white family
doing the ad or better yet a latino family? No, these companies just go for the low
hanging fruit at our expense and this time it will cost them, one bag at a time”.
Frito-lay spokesman Ken Hood said, “Before we made the ad, we checked with Obama
diversity czar Mark Lloyd and he told us we HAD to make an ad featuring
black...err...African-Americanʼs or be fined by the FCC. We thought having the step-
boyfriend Kyle and Jailynn playing Chess, eating Doritoʼs, and drinking Starbucks
wouldnʼt fit for our target demographic? Our focus group said having the youth dress
ʻwhiteʼ while talking bla...err...African-American would make everyone happy, but I
guess in the end, we offended everyone. Iʼm glad we at least pulled the Phat Farm
hoodies for the actors before the super bowl. First, I want to say on behalf of the
company, that we love black people. On a personal note, I have one black friend who I
regularly see when I drop my own son off at school each day and he taps his chest with
his fist when he seeʼs me in car line...look, I am not a racist, and neither is this fine
company”.

He just HAS to stir shit up whenever he get's the opportunity. The fact that so many African Americans, Blacks, people of color or whatever you want to call them look up to this piece of shit speaks volumes for their lack of independance, intelligence, initiative and character. Let's go back a bit further. I believe it was in the 60's that Sharpton and Jackson cooked up a rape of a little black girl in a small town and tried to pin it on a white man simply to stir shit.
