Leftist Liberal Love (with a smidgen of hypocrisy)

What to write about today…well, there is the $24.6 million contract (no-bid contract) handed to Checchi and Company Consulting, a Washington, D.C.-based firm owned by economist and Democratic Party donor Vincent Checchi. In addition to violating one of then-Senator Obama’s campaign promises, and flying in the face of the Competition in Contracting Act, the thanks for your donations mission called for Checchi's firm to train lawyers and judges in Afghanistan to follow the "rule of law" in a country at war.  Nah!  Since we are coming off a Martin Luther King holiday and are now in Black History Month, I do believe that I will reflect on peace, harmony, and tolerance.

Martin Luther King said,   “Peace is not merely a distant goal that we seek, but a means by which we arrive at that goal.”  The pride and joy of MSNBC, Keith Olbermann, said of Massachusetts Republican Scott Brown that he is "an irresponsible, homophobic, racist, reactionary, ex-nude model, teabagging supporter of violence against women and against politicians with whom he disagrees."  BTW, “teabagging” is an obscene act that liberals use to describe patriotic Americans who exercise their First Amendment rights.  Since we’re discussing MSNBC, David Shuster said if Fox News host Glenn Beck's house caught on fire, the fire department should let it burn down.

“Love and compassion are necessities, not luxuries. Without them humanity cannot survive” said Dalai Lama.  Liberal talk radio host Mike Malloy said this: "I have good news to report; Glenn Beck appears closer to suicide…I'm hoping that he does it on camera; suicide is rampant in his family, and given his alcoholism and his tendencies towards self-destruction, I am only hoping that when Glenn Beck does put a gun to his head and pulls the trigger, that it's on television, because somebody will capture it on YouTube and it will be the most popular video for months."  Yep, that sounds like something a ribbon-wearing I care more than you practice random acts of kindness bumper sticker displaying liberal would say.

Now some things just speak for themselves: Bill Maher pontificated, "It is not that long before we're going to find Glenn Beck dressed as a woman or playing with his feces or something."

John Kennedy proclaimed, “Tolerance implies no lack of commitment to one's own beliefs. Rather it condemns the oppression or persecution of others.”  Now check out this little ditty courtesy of Kierra Johnson, Executive Director of Choice USA, commenting on a pro-life ad featuring Tim Tebow and his mother (who was urged to abort Tim while he was still in the womb) that will run during Sunday’s Super Bowl :  "This un-American hate doesn't have a place in this all-American pastime."  What?  Disagree or have a view contrary to that of the elitist left, and guess what, you’re a practitioner of un-American hate.

The good ol’ vitriol of the American left…what more can be said of such a class of people?
